You might not be able to articulate it yet, but you certainly know how this makes you feel.
We’re still good partners, but I really miss us being lovers.
We are both changing, but I want us to move toward each other, instead of away.
We know the relationship we want, but we don’t know how to build it.
We feel like we’re speaking different languages in every argument.
We are so tired of having the same conversations over and over again.
We know this takes work, but feel like we can’t handle this alone.
OUR HOLISTIC APPROACH TO COUPLES COUNSELING
Helping you deeply understand one another to rebuild trust and connection.
Every interaction between you and your partner teaches your nervous system something. What is “safe” and “unsafe”, how to handle communication and conflict, and ultimately, what patterns you follow in arguments.
We peel back the layers of this disconnection to help you both finally articulate and navigate the underlying patterns that have been keeping you in this cycle for so long.
Co-creating the space your relationship needs to discover the root of your challenges.
Step 1: Safety First
Starting with generic advice or protocols doesn’t solve the root of your issues. The recurring arguments, the fight-or-flight feelings you can’t seem to ignore aren’t because you’re doing anything wrong, but because you and your partner may be speaking different languages in your brain and bodies.
Of course there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to your healing. We learn who you are as individuals and a couple, and pay attention to where your nervous system feels unsettled. That’s where the work begins.
Step 3: Build Your Toolbox
There is no timeline for healing, except for yours. Our goal is to help rebuild trust, process emotional pain, and restore the safety you both need for your relationship to move forward. Know that healing is not always linear, but the deeper understanding of one another is at the core of reconnection.
Step 4: Integrate & Grow
Have you ever heard the term your body keeps the score? While we focus on improving communication, we keep equal focus on how your nervous system feels. With a blend of somatics and psychology, we co-create what a “new normal” looks like, bringing a new sense of safety and understanding.
Step 2: Understanding Your Body
We know that every relationship is utterly unique, and deserves to be treated like it. We uncover how childhood and life events have shaped you both, and how that’s translated into adult attachment, conflict, and communication, so you can start to work with, and not against each other.
INCLUSIVE COUPLES COUNSELING IN ANNAPOLIS
Your relationship doesn’t have to be perfect, it just needs support.
Maybe you’re not sure what’s wrong, just that something feels a little out of reach. You love each other, but you’re tired of the same hard moments.
Here, nothing about how you love needs to be explained away. We help you slow down, feel safe again, and understand each other, however your dynamic looks.
-
When two nervous systems are wired differently, the small moments matter. We help you learn each other better, including sensory needs, big emotions, and the way you each show love, so you can stop translating and finally start connecting again.
Whether you’re ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD, or partnered with someone who is, you get to be fully yourselves, together.
-
Our space is open and affirming for LGBTQIA+ couples and for anyone exploring who they are within a relationship.
Whether you’ve spent years over-explaining or minimizing your relationship, or are looking to deepen trust with one another, you are fully welcome and seen here.
-
There is no one “right” way to love. Maybe you’ve found comfort in ethical non-monogamy for years, or are just starting to explore, and feeling all of the emotions around opening your relationship.
We help you feel safe and steady navigating agreements, boundaries, and everyone’s needs, including your own.
A welcoming space to rediscover your relationship.
Counseling can turn something that feels impossible to sort out into a clear sense of where your intuition has been guiding you all along.
Whether your next chapter is together or apart, you deserve to walk into it with compassion and clarity.

Couples therapy is usually billed through insurance, which means it's built around a diagnosis. Insurance requires a treatment plan that fits a medical model, and that structure can quietly steer what happens in the room.
Couples counseling lets your relationship lead. Without an insurance company deciding what counts as "medically necessary," we can focus fully on what you and your partner actually need.
We take time to understand each of you as individuals, explore the patterns and experiences that brought you here, and get clear on where you want to go together.
-
Our couples counseling services are self-pay, with 60-minute sessions at $165, and 90-minute sessions at $189.
This is not just an investment in “solving the problem”, but understanding your relationship to one another, yourselves, and how to change your internal narratives, serving your relationship for years (and hopefully decades) to come.
-
Honestly? Any couple who wants to feel closer, safer, and more connected.
Many people think couples counseling is a last resort, something you try when everything is falling apart. But the most powerful time to begin is much earlier.
We encourage couples to come in early: when the first rough patches appear, during big life transitions, or simply when you want to strengthen what you already have.
Building a healthy foundation now, with "tune-ups" along the way during rocky seasons, helps your nervous systems stay connected instead of holding onto pain until it feels unfixable.
-
Not necessarily. Your sessions are shaped around what will best support your relationship.
After our first meeting, once we've talked through your goals and created a game plan together, we'll decide on the best structure for your work.
Often, most sessions include everyone in the relationship. Sometimes, I'll suggest an individual session with each partner. That time lets me understand each of you more deeply: your history, your nervous system, and what you each bring into the relationship dynamic.
-
Yes. You're welcome here exactly as you are, uncertainty included.
Many couples come to counseling because they want to know they've truly done everything they can before making such a big decision. That isn't a sign of failure. It's a sign of care, for your partner, for the relationship, and for yourself.
This stage of questioning is an important part of the process. Together, we'll slow things down and create enough safety to hear what's really true for each of you.

This work is deeply personal for me. I'm an ADHD therapist, and my partner is AuDHD (autistic and ADHD), so I know firsthand both the beautiful potential and the real challenges of loving across different kinds of brains.
When I saw how much promise our relationship held, I wanted to understand everything I could about myself, my partner, and how we could truly meet each other. I learned about our different needs, how our nervous systems respond to stress and connection, and how our communication styles could feel like speaking two languages.
That understanding is what allowed us to build a relationship that feels safe, healthy, and genuinely ours, and I strive to do the same for you.
-
This is such an important question. I'm affirming of every gender, sexuality, relationship structure, and neurotype, and I've worked with many clients who are LGBTQIA+, transgender, polyamorous, ENM, and neurodivergent. Helping each person feel safe being their most authentic self is at the heart of my work.
Looking for support for a specific relationship challenge?
We know that healing doesn’t just happen within the four walls of a session. Our therapist-led courses give you the opportunity to integrate guidance and resources on your own time, at your own pace.
For the parents, children, and teens who are carrying a lot.
After two decades of navigating a blended family, marriage, divorce, and neurodiversity in my own life, one thing became clear — you shouldn’t need a degree to understand yourself and your nervous system.
That realization became my mission. Everyone deserves a therapist who truly sees them, without judgment. Across every relationship I work with, I've found the same truth: your body already knows how you really feel. My work is helping you translate it, trust it, and build the connection you actually want.
